Monster Prom Gameplay Walkthrough Posted on May 4, 2018, 2:00 am By Billy D Beautiful Glitch and Those Awesome Guys’ Monster Prom has become quite popular in the SJW circles and with so-called. Full list of Monster Prom achievements and guides to unlock them. The game has 32 Achievements.
Playable Characters
General
From left to right: Yellow/Oz, Red/Amira, Green/Brian, Blue/Vicky.
The four character options players can choose from. Four high schoolers that forgot until last minute to ask a date out to prom, now having to compete or work together to get a date.
- Adorkable: All the player characters have shades of this.
- Aerith and Bob: Vicky and Brian are fairly average names, Amira is a little more exotic, and then you have Oz.
- Anything That Moves: The player is attracted to almost everyone in the school, with gender and species being irrelevant to them, as long as they're monster. The dialogue also doesn’t shy away from how open they are about lusting after them, and many characters have caught on about that. The ones they seem to dislike are the most human-like ones, like The Slayer and The Coven. Even with that, Joy is dateable and accounting for the secret endings, the player is also attracted to an Eldritch Abomination, a computer, a blob and dragons.
- Second Term further expands on this, with the list now including the other two members of the Coven (Hope and Faith), the Slayer and even the Narrator.
- Big Damn Kiss: In the YAOI ending. This is parodied, while the kiss does happen, it's full of the weirdly erotic dialogue typical of yaoi and makes everything around you pink and petals come out of nowhere.
- Butt-Monkey: Depending on your choices in each event, you can end up an unpopular loser that keeps getting the short end of the stick and being blamed for everything that goes wrong.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Literally. Each player character has a signature color that's used for everything from their outfits to their in-game icons and text. Even their default names are Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue.
- Consummate Liar: In order to romance the monster of their choice, the player character lies a lot, which is lampshaded several times in-game.
- Did You Just Romance Cthulhu?: In the DEITY ending. If you buy the 'The Power Totem of Z'gord, Ruler of the Dark Realms' item and have high charm stat, you can romance Z'gord and take it to Prom. Downplayed in Second Term, with said deity now becoming one of the main love interests, Zoe.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: For the Lovable Sex Maniac that is the player, the Omega Ending, which is also called THE SUPER SECRET ONE is this. It has a multitude of requirements before the player is even able to do the events, and is a bit longer than usual, but it ends in a full-blown orgy between all your classmates, including a CG of all the romantic options waiting for you in a hot tub.
- Evil Minion: This is usually how you'll end up in Vera's routes. Or, at the very least, that's how she'll treat you. This is especially true during her endeavor as a crime lord in ascension. If the CRIME ending is achieved, then this is upgraded to Outlaw Couple.
- Extreme Omnisexual: Account for the secret endings, aside from the several monsters the player date normally, the player has dated an Eldritch Abomination, an amorphous blob, a computer, all three of the witches, the Slayer, the Narrator and has an attraction for dragons due to fanfics.
- Gender-Equal Ensemble: Two of the player character options are feminine and two are masculine. Of course, this is just their standard settings, and the player can choose their own pronouns.
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Players can ignore the two default options and choose a custom name for their character.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: The narration makes it clear you're attracted to all your classmates and yearn to have sex with any and all of them. Some events outright state how much you think of sex during your free time (imagining going on dates, dreaming of Polly and Damien naked, taking any opportunity to wow them, ogling Scott's physique whenever the chance is given, etc.).
- Lover and Beloved: Has shades of this relationship with Liam in his YAOI ending, in which the player becomes a master that teaches Liam, obviously, this only applies if the player is either Oz or Brian.
- Nightmare Fetishist: You can be noticeably turned on by Vera's evil deeds, including stabbing Damien when he asks her for money. Similarly, Miranda's ruthlessness and evil scheming are also arousing. Also, if going after Damien, the player character will usually gleefully join him in stabbing people and setting the school on fire multiple times.
- Outlaw Couple: The CRIME ending. Vera becomes a crime lord and keeps you as her trusted advisor and respected partner in love.
- Platonic Life-Partners: Official merchandise indicates that they all share this relationship. Special mention goes to Vicky and Oz, who are described as being particularly good friends within the group.
- Polyamory: It's implied that, while not in a relationship like that, the player character is polyamorous and welcomes this sort of relationship, as well as a yearning to participate in one with their classmates. In fact, the achievement for getting all prom dates in the game is called 'Polyamorous'.
- During one of the 'Dragon Heat' events, they actually attempt to put this into practice by inviting both Damien and Miranda to a date. With sufficient CHARM, the date actually goes quite well.
- Race for Your Love: Parodied in the final event of the PROM KING ending. You will chase Liam in the airport, who is deciding to board to Belarus, where he is still unpopular, but you can stop him by spouting cheesy lines.Narrator: Because airport security might say no to terrorism, but they can't say no to love.
- Seme: In the YAOI ending, this is parodied. The player gains shades of this, especially in regards to how suddenly they are domineering and seductive to Liam, but it's never cleared out whether the player tops, since the sex is only implied, and again, there's also the fact that in this case, it'll be a female seme, if the player character is either Vicky or Amira.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Oz and Brian, respectively. Oz is a Pretty Boy with a certain insecurity to his voice while Brian is a Hunk with a deadpan attitude.
- Sleeping with the Boss: In the CRIME ending. The player and Vera start a romantic relationship, but she wants to make it clear that while they are equals in love, she is still the player's boss.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: A lot. Especially when making the wrong choices or supporting people like Damien and Vera. One event can lead you to almost starting a war between Scott and Switzerland because you told him to make a flag.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Amira and Vicky, respectively. Amira is a fiery girl who even prefers tuxes over dresses and Vicky is a cute looking Genki Girl.
- Unwitting Pawn: The REVENGE ending. Miranda asks you to fulfill a series of tasks that seem random, but as it turns out, are part of a scheme to kill the water polo team in a gruesome way for kicking her out, which she reveals when you ask her to prom.
- Worthy Opponent: The FIGHT ending. Damien gets turned on during your fight against him at prom, and it leads to you having rough sex.
- Yaoi Fan: In one event, it's revealed you make erotic fanart of Damien and Liam. This event is the first stop to the YAOI ending.

Oz / Yellow
- Adorable Abomination: Oz, a Humanoid Abomination that is the personification of fear is also a very cute and shy Living Shadow boy.
- Adorkable: One of the polaroids describes him as 'a bit dorky'.
- Anthropomorphic Personification: Oz is fear itself. The little beings that appear around him are personifications of phobias.
- Beleaguered Assistant: The physical polaroids sold by the game developers mention that he is this to Vicky.
- Dork in a Sweater: Oz uses a yellow cardigan, and has a very shy and sweet demeanor.
- Expy: Oz's inspiration in both design and personality was Death, from the Johnny Wander. The similarities are extremely noticeable.
- Irony: Oz is the personification of fear, but he is actually quite the scaredy-cat.
- Living Shadow: Oz is a living black mass representing fear itself.
- No Mouth: Oz has no visible mouth, but is still able to speak and eat. Interestingly, his little shadow monsters do have mouths, despite being extensions of him.
- Only One Name: Officially, Oz has no last name and he is simply Oz, while the other characters all have last names.
- Pretty Boy: Oz counts as this, with some slender looks and a pretty frame to him.
- Really 700 Years Old: Word of God has confirmed that Oz was born long before the Zodiac was first conceived, making him one of the oldest characters in the game. In spite of this, he bears the physical appearance of a young man.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Sensitive Guy to Brian's Manly Man
Amira Rashid / Red
- Ambiguously Brown: One of the few characters with a human-like skin tone, Amira qualifies as this. Her name is Arabic, and as a djinn, she's based on Arabian and Islamic mythology; but whether she's even human enough to really have a racial identity is debatable.
- Dark-Skinned Redhead: Well, technically 'Fire-head', but aside from being Ambiguously Brown, Amira is drawn as a spunky girl.
- Flaming Hair: Amira, a fire djinn, has fire instead of hair.
- Fiery Redhead: Amira, figuratively and literally, being portrayed as a very feisty girl and also having her hair made out of fire.
- Her Boyfriend's Jacket: If at the end of a run, Amira gets together with Scott, the Polaroid at the end of the credits will be one of them stargazing together while she wears Scott's jacket.
- Playing with Fire: Amira is capable of summoning and using fire.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Tomboy to Vicky's Girly Girl.
- Western Zodiac: Scorpio. Fitting given how passionate and competitive she is.
Brian Yu / Green
- Attractive Zombie: Aside from a few parts of missing flesh, Brian is actually quite the Hunk.
- Body Horror: Subverted. Despite missing small parts of his mouth, forehead, and shoulder, these actually add up to his charm as a zombie.
- Deadpan Snarker: His tone of voice is generally very laidback and deadpan.
- Hunk: Brian is tall, with broad shoulders and a muscular build.
- Not So Above It All: He doesn't seem to really care what's going on around him most of the time, but even he has his moments. If the player decides to go play dodgeball, his custom polaroid shows him being super into it and in the Monster Camp demo he's seemingly super freaked out by the Haunted Manor.
- Punny Name: The zombie's default name is Brian, which is an anagram of 'Brain.'
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Manly Man to Oz's Sensitive Guy.
- Sleepyhead: He's prone to dozing off on occasion, most notably if he decides to go to class. This is also backed up by official merch which describes him as usually being rather lazy and sleepy.
- Western Zodiac: Calm, lethargic, and a Taurus.
Vicky Schmidt / Blue
- Adorkable: The purchase-able polaroids describe her as 'a bit dorky'.
- Dork in a Sweater: Vicky wears a blue sweater and is an AdorkableGenki Girl.
- Frankenstein's Monster: Vicky is a very cute version of one. She even has the common nails in her neck and stitches all over her body.
- Genki Girl: Vicky is drawn and portrayed as one.
- The Leader: In one of the polaroids, it's mentioned that she is a good leader.
- Punny Name: The name Vicky is a reference to Victor Frankenstein.
- Skunk Stripe: In traditional Bride of Frankenstein fashion, Vicky has a pale blue streak in her hair.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl to Amira's Tomboy.
- Western Zodiac: Cheerful, a good leader, and a Leo.

Romanceable Characters
Miranda Vanderbilt
The Mermaid Princess
Voiced by: Christine Marie Cabanos
'The Royal Family is saved!
Now they can finally exploit the peasants again!'
'The Royal Family is saved!
Now they can finally exploit the peasants again!'
A 19-year-old mermaid who is the sweet heiress of a royal family with a cute appearance and genocidal values.
- Affably Evil: Miranda may be the heiress of a genocidal and cruel monarchy, but she is never really mean to anyone. Most of the time, she doesn't even understand what evil is.
- The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest of the dateable characters and conventionally cuter than the others. She's also the youngest daughter of the Merkingdom's rulers, with three older sisters.
- Bad Boss: She treats her serfs as expendable. A few lunch events show that Miranda doesn't even consider her serfs to be sentient beings, let alone worthy of respect.
- Deconstructive Parody: She is one to princesses, specifically the 'Disney princess' archetype. She has all the usual traits of a princess, except she also has the bloodthirstiness and ruthlessness of the monarchy that would have ruled the kingdoms on the fairy tale's ages. When she wants something to happen in a similar manner to a Disney movie, it's either something her wealthy family bribed to have happened or is treated as a silly idea by everyone around her.
- Disproportionate Retribution: For kicking her out of the water polo team, she has all of the members of the team killed by a giant sea monster, after feeding them the monster's eggs in the REVENGE ending.
- Fanservice: She shows up fully naked, with only a sword and a skull to cover her privates in the REVENGE ending's CG.
- Fantastic Racist: Believes that the Airpeople are inferior to Merpeople, she abhors their habits of hating Guacamole, eating sandwiches with crust and wearing socks with sandals.
- Innocent Blue Eyes: Miranda has blue eyes and while Obliviously Evil, she is never trying to be mean, and is generally very naive, to the point that Damien mentions that it worries him.
- Killed Off for Real: In the bad end of her Christmas update route, as a result of an uprising in her kingdom. The CG at the end of the route is various characters paying their respects at her funeral.
- Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: Miranda is a light color wearing princess who is very gentle, if Obliviously Evil, while Vera prefers to don dark colors and is much more devious.
- My Girl Is Not a Slut: Claims to be a virgin who is often tempted into the forest by warlocks—no matter that the warlocks in question are her friends, Polly, Liam, and the player.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Miranda's naivete does not reflect her capacity to make evil schemes, especially when she feels she has been wronged. She's very cunning and cruel, though unlike Vera, these traits don't surface easily.
- Obliviously Evil: Miranda sees nothing wrong with enslaving, manipulating and killing her many servants. It's a result of her upbringing, believing that all of the unbelievably unfair things she does her to her servants are perfectly normal.Narrator: You ask Miranda if she thinks this is ethical, but she's as confused about the meaning of 'ethics' as she is about 'fair and democratic elections'.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Charm and Money.
- Our Mermaids Are Different: To start with, she has legs, and can breathe above water. Given the nature of the game, probably to avoid The Mermaid Problem.
- Picky Eater: Exaggerated. Miranda doesn't eat food at all, considering it 'undignified' of her to do so. She has her serfs eat for her.
- Pink Means Feminine: By far the most lady-like member of the cast. She also has long pink hair and pink skin.
- Revenge: Her REVENGE ending, appropriately named, is her using an unwitting player to cause the cruel deaths of the water polo team that kicked her out for ridding her seahorse in the middle of the game.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: Miranda is nice, and most of what she ends up doing badly, it's because she's an airhead, rather than mean.
- Royal Harem: She mentions to have had one in the past, but never saw the appeal, so she forgot about it entirely.
- Royally Screwed Up: She is the princess of a tyrannical ruling that has killed many. This is downplayed on the sense that she isn't actually mean or evil, just oblivious.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Averted; as pointed out by her older sister Bellanda, Miranda hasn't actually done much for the Merkingdom. Helping her to become this is actually the focus of the route Bellanda appears in.
- Running Gag: Many of the events in the cafeteria will remind the player about her large collection of silverware.
- Serious Business: Prom Queen, largely because she seems to think that the title holds some kind of power or influence, which causes her to try to push the player to act with her for them to get the crown.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: She frequently solves her problems by bribing people, or sending them very expensive gifts of some kind.
- Spoiled Sweet: As an heiress, Miranda is very nice to everyone, though she doesn't really seem to understand other people not having bucketloads of cash and servants like her.
- Traitor Shot: One of her sprites is this, with her upper face covered in shadows and her eyes sparkling.
- Tranquil Fury: While she can pout when irritated, when truly angry, she maintains a calm demeanor and schemes malicious, deadly plots in her head, executing them with cruel precision.
- Western Zodiac: Pisces. In addition to being a literal example, she conveys the politeness and high naivete associated with her sign.
- You Keep Using That Word: She can be called out on the fact that what she keeps calling 'democracy' isn't really democratic if she is threatening, bribing or causing anything to manipulate the outcome of a democratic decision in her country and sometimes her school.
The Reckless Demon
Voiced by: Nathan Sharp
'He's always trying to get me to modernize hell...
And I'm always like 'Get off my back, dad'!'
'He's always trying to get me to modernize hell...
And I'm always like 'Get off my back, dad'!'
A 21-year-old demon with a love for fire and setting things on fire. He likes causing chaos and playing pranks.
- ...And That Little Girl Was Me: Parodied. In one event, he will tell a story about his childhood, finishing with the reveal that he is the boy in the story, although he says this as a Wham Line, Liam deadpans the fact that he told, at the beginning of the story, that it was about him.
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Inevitably, if the player romances them, though whether this is played straight or a same-sex version of it depends on the player.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With the player in the FIGHT ending. After being pissed off, Damien asks the player to fight him in Prom Night. After a brutal fight, they start making out which leads to them have violent and rough sex in the bathroom.
- Big Red Devil: He is one, though a far more handsome and charming version of one.
- Bruiser with a Soft Center: Make no mistake, Damien is a bad man (as one would expect from the prince of Hell) with an unrepentant fondness for destruction, pain, and death. But he's also quite fond and protective of his friends (when he's not teasing them), a romantic who loves beauty, and so close to his family that in Second Term, he can flip out at the player and Zoe for trying to tease his soft side out of him by calling out a moment of defensiveness on his part with implying that his parents think he's a sucky son.
- Catchphrase Insult: His go-to insult is calling people 'noob'; he calls the player this many times.
- Conspiracy Theorist: He becomes this, complete with String Theory and tinfoil hats, in the last event of the Shitter event chain after driving himself half crazy with his obsession over finding out the origin of the Caganer. This being Monster Prom, of course, there really is a conspiracy.
- Determinator: Once he sets his mind to something, it's next to impossible to get him to stop. This is especially prominent in two of his secret routes: the 'Punch The Sun' route and the 'Shitter' route.
- Dumb Muscle: It's downplayed next to Scott, but while Damien does have his areas of knowledge and skill (e.g. he's an excellent beautician, and he built his own car out of parts salvaged from wrecks), he generally sees the world through a lens of Rule of Cool, acts on enthusiasm rather than common sense, solves pretty much all of his problems through violence, and is quite a bit gullible and Book Dumb.
- Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: While he clashes with them at times over their expectations for him, the majority of his scenes concerning his fathers make it clear that Damien has a happy home life, loves and looks up to his parents very much, and does take what they think of him to heart. Meanwhile, they adore their little boy right back.
- Even Evil Has Standards:
- Despite being a dick most of the time, he is by no means a bigot. Case in point, his immediate response to witnessing Leonard's deadnaming of Zoe is to set the kappa on fire.
- In one lunchtime event with Zoe, choosing Damien's option has him reveal that he thinks child beauty pageants are disgusting.
- Exotic Equipment: According to himself, Damien's dick can shape-shift into nine different shapes, though two of them are used for killing rather than sex.
- Fanservice:
- His Shirtless Scene on the FIGHT ending, combined with the fact that the narration states the player and him had very rough sex in a bathroom.
- The 'F*cking Hot' Update adds a new ending to him, SUN. The CG includes him with his clothes completely ripped showing his naked torso, which the narration lampshades.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: In keeping with his intense-as-hell personality, Damien is an easy guy to piss off. In the words of the narrator, 'he could get mad at a banana'... which is a line that pops up right before the player runs into him screaming at a banana.
- Has Two Mommies: Offhandedly mentions that he has two fathers in some events. The player can even get to meet them in his holiday route!
- Hot-Blooded: Damien is an intense guy, who reacts intensely to everything and has often the most outlandish ideas, even in relation to the most mundane situations.
- Interplay of Sex and Violence: The essence of the FIGHT ending. As the player and Damien fight an increasingly violent brawl, they also get more and more hot and bothered until they decide to have even more violent sex. Even his Shirtless Scene CG in that ending evokes this, as he looks very hot without a shirt.
- Keet: Damien has two main emotional states: enraged and gleefully excited. Propose that the two of you do something fun together, and you'll get him shouting and motor-mouthing about the idea in nothing flat.
- Large Ham: But of course the fiery and hyper-intense demon prince has one of the biggest presences in the game.
- Meaningful Name: His surname is LaVey, as in, Anton LaVey, the man who created the Church of Satan and LaVey Satanism.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Boldness and Fun.
- Playing with Fire: Literally. Damien is an aficionado for fire, loving to set things on fire just because, as well as just generally causing chaos and destruction.
- Psychopathic Manchild: Damien's violent and dangerous nature is offset (or perhaps fed) by emotional immaturity and, when he's in a good mood, a somewhat Adorkable capacity for enthusiasm over things as simple as the visit of the local ice cream man or getting an idea for a matching badass tattoo from his friend/crush. Ninety percent of what he does, he does either because he's acting out or because he just thinks it'd personally be fun or funny. This includes all the crime.
- Punny Name: Damien sounds like 'demon', and it was also the name of Satan's child from The Omen (1976).
- Real Men Wear Pink:
- Vera will say that his fingers are oddly well manicured in an event, and he also showcases a large interest in makeovers and things of the sort. He also loves Ru Pauls Drag Race, calling the contestants fiercer than any warrior he's ever seen.
- Any of his routes in multiplayer as well as the DRAGON HEAT and STYLIST routes can reveal that Damien is a huge romantic who thinks love is one of the most badass and powerful things in the world. The former of those two routes includes an event with an option in which the player and Miranda learn that he sometimes writes sonnets to people he's interested in, while in the latter, he points to his dads' relationship and the edge their bond gave them in conquering Hell as lords together as an inspiration with regards to his feelings on the idea of love.
- Doubled down on in Second Term, where his ending polaroid with Vicky displays Damien doing a remarkably good job with the former's makeup.
- Running Gag: One, his pyromania. Two, his portmanteau cursing - his insults run the range from the fairly-normal 'fuckhead' to the weirder 'fuckbench' and 'fuckbeer'.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Manly Man to both Liam and Scott's Sensitive Guys. He is a guy with a passion for destruction and drag races, while Liam is a hipster artist and Scott is kind and lovable.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: He swears more often than the other characters. One of his voice interjections is 'Fucking metal!'
- Ship Tease: With Hope in her route. Apparently the two of them had a slow dance a long time ago and since then he's been sending himself packages per her delivery service to have an excuse to see her.
- Shirtless Scene: Appears shirtless in the FIGHT ending CG.
- Western Zodiac: The most temperamental of the love interests and an Aries.
- Wimpification: In-universe, during the YAOI ending. The final CG includes a drawing of him as a Pretty Boy with a Luminescent Blush.
- Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: He has yellow irises, though still white scleras. He is one of the sneakiest characters in the game, being always up to cause chaos just for the fun of it.
Scott Howl
The Werewolf Jock
Voiced by: Arin Hanson
'... I don't get it.
That means it must be really smart!'
'... I don't get it.
That means it must be really smart!'
A 21-year-old werewolf who is a well-meaning (but not very bright) jock that is always thinking about sports.
- Brainless Beauty: Scott isn't the sharpest tool in the box, but damn if he isn't handsome.
- Carpet of Virility: His low cut shirt showcases the top half of his notably hairy chest. He is also one of the manliest-looking guys in the entire game.
- The Cheerleader: Subverted. While he has a deep love for cheerleading and cheers in several events, he doesn't fit in the personality traits of the trope.
- Good Is Dumb: He is the least threatening option by a large margin, rarely ever threatens your life and mostly treats you nicely, but he is also the most dim-witted.
- The Good King: Gets crowned as one in the FURRY ending, ruling over a group of furries that meet in the forest.
- Fanservice: Played with. Most of Scott's fanservice scenes are only described, not shown. There is one instance, though, where he transforms into his wolf form and you actually get to see him in his underwear.
- For Halloween he dresses up as Blobert, which involves him wearing a baseball cap, a pair of underpants, some orange goo, and nothing else. If you can look past the orange goo, basically everything is on display.
- Hidden Depths: Scott is capable of great feats of intelligence once in a while, specifically in math. One of his endings includes the fact that he is revealed to be a genius and becomes one of the country's greatest mathematicians.
- Hunk: Scott is the straightest example. Tall, muscular and hairy; classically manly and handsome.
- Innocent Blue Eyes: Scott is very naive and prone to believe whatever he is told (and sometimes ignoring what he is told) and has very blue eyes.
- Insult Friendly Fire: When the player tries to have the Wolfpack stop bother Scott, one of the option is meant to insult them (throwing a stick to make them run off), only to have Scott end up insulted as well.
- Kindhearted Simpleton: He is incredibly dense, but also one of the nicest characters in the game, if not the nicest.
- Lovable Jock: While he is a member of the football team, Scott is nice and lovable to the player, in fact, often more than the other options.
- Nice Guy: He is always friendly when talking to the other characters.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Secretly, Scott is a math genius, which is neither something he particularly enjoys, flaunts or talks about, though he isn't faking the fact he is extremely dim-witted in any other subject.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Averted. Unlike the other romanceable characters, Scott doesn't need any specific stats to be a potential prom date - as to be expected from a man with the brain of a dog, all he needs from you are high heart points.
- Parental Abandonment: He has lived with his grandmother and his many cousins and siblings for his entire life, and according to the Wolfpack their parents 'aren't coming back'. The Drawing event chain has him finally clue onto the fact that this isn't normal. Being Scott, he comes to the conclusion that a pizza guy, or possibly the pizza parlor itself, is his mother since that's where he gets most of his meals, and that a sack of potatoes with googly eyes, a mustache, and a corncob pipe glued onto it is his father. He admits however that he knows the latter isn't real but a coping mechanism because he wants a dad so badly.
- Playing a Tree: His costume in the school play is a tree.
- Popular with Furries: In-universe. One of Scott's events revolves around a group of forest animals naming him their king, which you later find out to actually be a group of furries. Another event reveals they are making fanart and fanfics of him.
- Punny Name: 'Scott Howl' is likely a play on Scott Howard, the name of the protagonist in Teen Wolf. In particular, he resembles Scott's 'wolf-man in a letterman's jacket' appearance from the cartoon version.
- Raised by Grandparents: Due to Parental Abandonment, he has lived with his grandmother for his entire life.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man:
- The Manly Man to Liam's Sensitive Guy. Scott is a football player, while Liam is more of a sensitive artist.
- He becomes the Sensitive Guy when paired with Damien, being endlessly friendly and peppy, whereas Damien is a brash Bad Boy.
- Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: The Nice Moron to Liam's Smart Jerk.
- Super Gullible: Scott will believe pretty much whatever he is told very easily. It takes almost no convincing to get him to do whatever someone else wants.
- Token Good Teammate: Of all the main dateable options, Scott is the only one without a mean bone in his body, and he doesn't (knowingly anyway) partake in immoral actions.
- Western Zodiac: Compassionate, supportive, and a Cancer.
The Hipster Vampire
Voiced by: Cryaotic
'You see, I have a dark and expensive fetish.
I download pop songs on iTunes'.
'You see, I have a dark and expensive fetish.
I download pop songs on iTunes'.
A 400-and-something-year-old vampire with a love for everything that is underground and a deep appreciation for his own art, as well as a hatred for everything he considers to be mainstream for him.
- Adorkable: At times, but especially when he is trying to hide his excitement over something, such as trying to not show he is overjoyed at getting thousands of followers and trying to ask you out on a date. This is especially true in the PROM KING ending, in which his status as a lovable dork is even lampshaded by the Narrator.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: Purple, an unusual skin tone for a vampire.
- Ascended to a Higher Plane of Existence: In one of the endings, Liam's dedication to his art eventually makes him evolve into the concept of coolness itself.
- Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: According to him, Caligula and Jack the Ripper were the same person and were a vampire.
- Big Damn Kiss: With the player, in the last event of the YAOI ending, which even includes summoning petals, lens flare and turning everything around you pink
- The Cassandra: Nobody will believe him that you are not a ghost while wearing the white sheet. In fact, most of the time he tries to point out a problem in the others' faulty logic, he'll be ignored.
- Covert Pervert: He decides to write a play based on the novel series 'Two Lights' (which isn't fanfic), the fanfic turns out to be about the two guys in the love triangle ditching the girl and fucking each other's brains out. Which he says will be artistic because of... reasons. He has, however, had plenty of sex in his long life and shows a large knowledge of sex positions and orgies.
- Dark Secret: He treats his past hanging out with the Coven as something to be ashamed of. Seeing as the Second Term DLC reveals that it actually came about as part of a Heel–Face Turn and ended with an amicable but difficult breakup with Joy over getting Hope killed, it makes sense that he's not particularly fond of talking about it.
- Deadpan Snarker: Liam is constantly serious and snarky, when compared to the other characters, and tends to point out flaws in others' logic.
- Dork in a Sweater: His casual clothes include wearing a peach colored sweater.
- Fanservice: His shirtless CG scene looking dazed in the YAOI ending, though the fact that he and player have sex is much more subtle than in the other fanservice-y endings.
- Heel–Face Turn: According to Hope's route in the Second Term DLC, he used to be one of the main enemies of the Coven, but joined them as part of a redemption arc.
- Hipster: Proudly so. Liam wears suspenders, uses a man bun, describes his tastes in flowery language and has an interest in non-mainstream things.
- In Touch with His Feminine Side: Liam is very interested in art above anything else, but he doesn't have any interest in a particularly stereotypically masculine activity.
- I 'Uh' You, Too: Outside of his PROM KING route, Liam's pride and jaded image tend to keep him from being able to make overtly romantic statements to a player who's courting him... even while he's blushing profusely and avoiding eye contact while trying to find ways 'around' it.Liam: I was wondering if you might like to, perhaps... sit in a large, darkened room with me as we silently pass judgment on a popular film? And afterwards, we could... adjourn to an eating establishment, so that I can watch and take artistic photos while you consume calories?
- Kuudere: Not only does the game introduce him as, 'a hipster vampire whose stand-offish demeanor hid that he was truly a lovable dork,' but the physical versions of the Polaroids reveal that Liam cares too much of what people think of him and would seek other people's approval (while pretending he doesn't care). Vera uses this to her advantage, mainly to mess with Liam, and Polly's accepting enough to have Liam stop caring so much, which is healthy for him.
- Literal Metaphor: When he says he won't run for prom king, not in a hundred years, he claims to be somewhat literal, since he has lived for a really long time and never competed for it.
- Lover and Beloved: In the YAOI ending, he and the player start getting elements of this, in which the player is a master that is teaching the young and naive Liam. This is inverted on the age aspect, as Liam is much older than the player, but is the one being taught by him.
- Meta Guy: Liam makes a lot of lampshading in regards to the silliness of the story they face and sometimes on the player's own actions. He also often bashes dating sims, calling them outdated and/or wondering what kind of weirdo would want a situation like that happening to them. In-universe, he is also obsessed with metafiction.
- My Greatest Failure: Hiring the assassin that murdered the second Hope, closely followed by choosing Angelus as his villain name.
- Non-Human Sidekick: To the Coven, in their past. He used to accompany them in adventures and being their Token Evil Teammate, but he eventually grew bored of it and ditched them. He says he grew bored of it, however, Second Term reveals that he left after pulling a shady move that got Hope killed and fractured his relationship with the witches.
- Oblivious to Love: While he is aware that the player is a Lovable Sex Maniac desperately after someone to take to the prom, he tends to be somewhat of an airhead when he is being hit on. This is especially true in the YAOI ending, in which they stay close for the following five 'seasons' of Will They or Won't They?, with Liam being blissfully unaware of his 'master's advances and feelings before finally getting together.
- Occidental Otaku: In the YAOI ending, he starts becoming more fixated with Japanese culture, even greeting the player in Japanese.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Smarts and Creativity.
- Only Sane Man: He is smart and doesn't have any of the tendencies or being easily fooled like many of his peers, however, he also doesn't have the same vices as Vera, so he can act like this. Not that anyone listens to him, anyway.
- Really 700 Years Old: He is an unspecified age that is in the 400s.
- Running Gag: He has extensive lists of things he doesn't like in specific categories, e.x. least favorite types of drink, least favorite traits in a potential lover, etc. If one of them comes up, he'll offhandedly mention where it ranks in its category.Liam: Clinginess is my seventh biggest turnoff. Right between sarcasm illiteracy and actually being a pickle and not a person.
- Scars Are Forever: He has a pair of spots on his right arm, which are likely vampire bite marks. If that was how he was turned, they've been there for more than 400 years.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Sensitive Guy to both Damien and Scott's Manly Men. He has an interest in art and wits while, among the other two, the former is a Blood KnightBad Boy that likes to cause chaos and mayhem, and the latter is a Dumb Jock.
- Shirtless Scene: The YAOI ending CG is him shirtless and dazed, as he writes more and more yaoi.
- Shout-Out: He shares his last name with Lestat de Lioncourt, the main character of Ann Rice's The Vampire Chronicles series.
- His name back when he was one of the Coven's villains was Angelus, and he had a complicated relationship with Joy similar to that between Angel and Buffy.
- Sophisticated as Hell: Liam's speech patterns are normally very eloquent and high-brow with frequent dips into Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness, ostensibly to show off how knowledgeable he is, but he slips on rare occasions when especially flustered, e.x. accusing a player of 'friggin' ignoring him' on a date gone wrong or dropping a stunned 'what the fuck?!' in Damien's holiday route when he and Damien find themselves being burst in on by The Pope.
- Take That!: Liam is generally a take that to hipster culture, with a love for incomprehensible and wanting things that nobody else could possibly want. It's especially this when it becomes clear he is doing everything like this not because he enjoys it, but rather because he wants to be perceived by others as cool and hipstery.
- Tears of Joy: Together with Single Tear. In his PROM KING CG, he is releasing a single, joyful tear because he was crowned prom king.
- That Came Out Wrong: When he asks your creative help, he will say that he 'on his knees', in front of the 'Tree of knowledge' and begging to be 'filled with your seed'. The narrator will lampshade that he probably didn't mean how it sounded.
- Theme Naming: Both Liam's first and last name are nods to famous vampires in fiction: Angel (Birth/Human Name-Liam) from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lestat de Lioncourt from The Vampire Chronicles.
- True Art Is Incomprehensible: He mentions that filters are only meant to make things browner and that people just don't understand his art, but that's okay with him.
- Tsundere: He is pretty unpleasant many times, due to his high-and-mighty attitude, but is very easily turned to a blushing mess by the player in the times the player actually can do it. He is also one of the least subtle love interests about his interest in the player if the outcome is positive for him.
- Uke: Parodied, he gains shades of this in the YAOI ending, especially in regards to how he behaves around the player and how obliviously naive he suddenly has become. However, the sex is only implied and it's never made clear whether he bottoms.
- Western Zodiac: Scorpio. It's not as obvious as it is with Amira, but he does exhibit the standoffishness and introversion typically associated with his sign.
- We Used to Be Friends: With the Coven. He was part of their Big Bad-fighting team as a Non-Human Sidekick and they apparently have had many adventures together, but he eventually grew tired and bored with them and left the group, though it seems this fall out is fairly recent. And, as Second Term reveals, also way more complicated after all than him getting tired of them.
- Will They or Won't They?: Parodied in the YAOI ending. It's mentioned that, for the following years, the player becomes Liam's master as he becomes a respected author of yaoi. Liam is oblivious to the player's feelings and advances, so they spend years in this situation until they finally get together.
- Yaoi Fanboy: In the YAOI ending, he turns into one, believing yaoi to be an ancient form of Japanese art, deciding to become a mangaka and asking for the player to be his master. Of course, the genre itself is parodied to hell and back in said ending.

The Party Ghost
Voiced by: Sarah Williams
'Would that kill you? Like, if I actually opened your heart?
It's so hard to keep track of what kills people!'
'Would that kill you? Like, if I actually opened your heart?
It's so hard to keep track of what kills people!'
A 22(?) year old ghost with a love for parties and substance abuse, always ready to play pranks at a moment's notice.
- The Alcoholic: She drinks a lot, and almost anything really. She also does almost every drug she finds.
- Anything That Moves: Polly loves partying and sex, and she isn't shy about either. She very openly lusts for pretty much any monster, though it's still less than the player character. Heck, given that in her own words she's 'had plenty of sex with inanimate objects', her sexual interests aren't even limited to things that move.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: She thinks that third dates are for the hardcore stuff: shibari, dangerous sex toys, and meeting the parents.
- Brainless Beauty: She isn't really fond of using her head, but she is very proud of her good looks.
- Cute Ghost Girl: An adorable ghost girl, even!
- Eats Babies: Downplayed, however, she does eat the soul of an infant as a drink.
- Fanservice: She appears wearing nothing but panties in the WILKINSON ending CG, with a dazed outlook, and it's made clear the player just had kinky sex with her.
- Favors for the Sexy: Going to a club with her and Vera shows that she tends to make men pay for her drinks.
- The 'Fun' in 'Funeral': She turns a funeral into a party by possessing the body of the deceased. She was also able to get married 11 times before leaving the body on the dance floor.
- Fun Personified: Her only goals are partying and having a good time. If it doesn't involve parties, drugs, or experimental new things, Polly isn't interested. As such, she's rather peppy and cheerful constantly.
- Genki Girl: Polly is extremely upbeat and always thrilled to do anything, facing all as a way to have fun and even wondering how to turn it into a party.
- Hard-Drinking Party Girl: She is always looking for a party and a drink. In fact, any substance is welcome for her, and she mentions being high most of the time.
- The Hedonist: Literally all Polly really cares about in life is fun.
- Hidden Depths: Polly's actually far smarter and more analytical than she necessarily chooses to show. For starters, Polly's pretty decent at Chess, and claims to get it from her mother, who was a pro player at some point; she loves to read; she's a pretty good cook (when she's sober, which isn't very often); and she's an excellent chemist. Of course, she uses the last of these to cook her own drugs above all else, but, hey, smart is smart!
- Just Here for the Free Snacks: According to Second Term, Polly loves going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings... because of all the free cookies. Too bad they don't like it when you show up drunk, for some reason!
- Lovable Sex Maniac: Polly is very open about her desire for sex and makes no attempt to hide how kinky she is about it. Nonetheless, she is fun to be around and is friendly to the player most of the time.
- Multiple-Choice Past: If someone mentions a dangerous activity within Polly's hearing, she'll almost always cheerily inform them that that's how she died. The fact that she's racked up a good dozen alleged deaths this way isn't lost on anyone except herself.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Fun and Boldness.
- Plague Doctor: She dons the outfit in the school play.
- The Prankster: As you'd expect from a person with a name that sounds like 'poltergeist'! She and Scott consider themselves the school's resident 'Prank Masterz (with a 'Z'!)' as a duo - and she, as is to be expected given Scott's far and away the less-intelligent of the two, tends to be the one who actually cooks up the ideas.
- Proud Beauty: She knows she looks good and flaunts that proudly to everyone around her, even strangers. She says in one event that her skill is being unbelievably hot at all times.
- Punny Name: Polly Geist, as in 'Poltergeist'.
- Really Gets Around: Polly loves sex and isn't afraid to be open about it.
- Running Gag: She changes the way she was killed every time she mentions it.
- Thrill Seeker: Polly is always looking for fun one way or the other, and if that means doing something extremely dangerous and/or kinky, it usually attracts her even more rather than scare her. She actually eventually feels gloomy about the idea of eventually running out of stuff to do.
- Unfinished Business: She died without being able to perform one of the most complicated sex positions ever. This is the WILKINSON ending, the position requires for you to gather marbles, guacamole and buy the Penguin Mask from the store, though once you get all the items and the ending, she'll reveal that it's just a lie she uses to get people to do that position with her.
- Vague Age: Polly's age is given as '22?' She also repeatedly makes references to how she died, all of which have timelines and details that are contradictory.
- Virgin-Shaming: During the 'Ghost Sheet' events, if the player chooses to say that they were sacrificed to the god of partying, if they fail the FUN check, she fixates on the fact that most sacrifices are virgins, and she'll ridicule the player for being a virgin and suspect they were too ugly to ever get laid.
- Western Zodiac: Happy-go-lucky, impulsive, and a Sagittarius.
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Briefly wonders about this, since she fears she may one day try everything and nothing will be able to excite her anymore.
- Who Wears Short Shorts?: Her outfits include a short pair of white or denim shorts.
The Ruthless Gorgon
Voiced by: Cristina Vee
'Sorry, I'm focusing on my career...
My career on not dating losers like you!'
'Sorry, I'm focusing on my career...
My career on not dating losers like you!'
A 23-year-old gorgon that is heavily involved with several scams and illegal businesses to gather money.
- Alpha Bitch: Emphasis on Bitch. Vera is harsh, rough and seems to somewhat enjoy poking fun at others. In one event, she'll have officially divided the school between Cools and Uncools and will ask you advice on how to force the Cools superiority over the Uncools.
- Blood Magic: In the BLOOD ending, she uses a blood ritual to assure her victory as Prom Queen, which requires the blood of the previous Prom Queen. It's obtained by purchasing the used tampon from the store.
- Cool Big Sis: Adoptive, but Valerie certainly thinks so.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: If she warms up to you, this is the usual result of this, especially since she isn't exactly shy about her affections either. She's very flirtatious in the CRIME ending, reciprocating your feelings and respecting you as a partner in crime and in love
- Difficulty Spike: Gameplay-wise, Vera is the hardest date to take to prom.
- The Don: Vera becomes the head figure of organized crime in the city at the end of the CRIME ending. She even uses a Tommy Gun in the final event leading up to that ending.
- Even Evil Has Standards:
- She gets really embarrassed when Polly makes a sort of racist remark about the fact that the dark-skinned witch is a dark Polly and tells her to stop.
- She also severely reprehends what she deems non-feminist behavior. She is disgusted at Miranda's decision to eat a poison apple to find a prince and Polly using her charms to get men to pay for her drinks.
- Vera trolls Scott in some scenes, but in the 'kid drawing' path she makes it clear even she isn't willing to do something that will actually upset him or shatter his illusions. He's just too nice for even her to pick on.
- In an event with Zoe being harassed by the Wolfpack about how she used to be the dark God Z'Gord, Vera stands up for her and soon after stabs Leonard with a knife when he says something about Zoe that is the closest equivalent to transphobia.
- Fanservice: The BLOOD ending CG is her disrobing herself, with what little clothing she has left still leaving half of her ass exposed to the player. It's also made extensively clear she and the player just had sex.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Her Prom dress is an asymmetric dress that has a long sleeve on the right and no sleeve on the left, furthermore, the accessories she wears are also uneven between her left and her right.
- Gorgeous Gorgon: A gorgon and a very beautiful one, at that. She's also considered one of the most beautiful ones among gorgon-kind.
- Greed: Vera loves money, enough so that there are many, many events that the player can help her out to start some, including a pyramid scheme and an Uber-like app to hire assassins.Vera's sharing her profits with you? That's like third base for her!
- Green and Mean: Vera has green skin and the snakes in her hair are green as well. She is one of the least moral characters, with a knack for shady and illegal business and trying to use you as a pawn.
- Hidden Depths: It is revealed during one outcome of Valerie's route that she and her adoptive family grew up without much wealth. According to her sister, one reason she loves making money is that she wanted to repay her adoptive father.
- Hypocritical Humor: In one event, she lectures the player character about the importance of consent... When earlier in the game she may freely admit to having secretly put cameras in a rival school's locker room and has been selling the images of the nude football players to a porn site.
- Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: The dark and purple wearing Evil Genius gorgon Dark Feminine to Miranda's light blue and pink wearing Obliviously Evil princess Light Feminine.
- Medium Awareness: Much to her anger, she finds out she is in a game, which leads her to become an influential businesswoman since he wants to be a player too.
- Morality Pet: As cruel, manipulative, and mean-spirited she can be, she loves her sister Valerie, and has an Odd Friendship and occasional surprisingly kind moments with Scott, whose pure-hearted earnestness she describes as reminding her that life and people don't always need to be cruel.
- Noblewoman's Laugh: Her rejection sprite has this.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Smarts, Charm, and Money.
- Outlaw Couple: With the player in the CRIME ending. After she rises to become The Don of the city, she also comes to love the player as a partner, while also making it clear that while they are equals in love, in crime she is still the boss and the player is her advisor.
- Peek-a-Bangs: Her right eye is hidden behind one of her snakes, though both of her eyes are shown in her avatar icon.
- Pet the Dog: A somewhat literal example: In the Drawing event chain, she sympathizes with Scott's Parental Abandonment situation due to never knowing her own birth parents. As such, she spends the entirety of the event chain being supportive of him without a hint of her usual greed or ruthlessness, encouraging the PC to humor his delusions so his innocence won't be ruined. The PC even lampshades how unlike her it is to show empathy.
- She also seems to sympathize with Zoe's transition from Eldritch Abomination to Cute Monster Girl, as she's quick to defend her from Leonard's typical attitude by stabbing him.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: She's easily one of the most dangerous of the potential dates and has red eyes to match. They even brighten or darken in color depending on what evil scheme she's cooking up next.
- Rooting for the Empire: In-universe. When she and Scott decide to start a TV show, you can suggest an idea about a drug dealer fighting to get her share, which Vera finds relatable despite Scott's issues, saying that it's a story about an entrepreneur fighting against the government.
- Sex Magic: The ritual from the BLOOD ending requires for an act of lust to be made on the pentagram. When the player invites her to prom, she will invite them to participate in the ritual with her, and is left in clear terms the ritual was done and the two had sex. The CG is pretty suggestive, to say the least.
- Ships That Pass in the Night: Lampshaded; in the Calculester route of the original game. While all the other main characters have significant interactions with Calculesternote , Vera does not show up in any of the scenes of his route. Nonetheless, as the other characters are defending him against The Wolfpack, Vera steps forward and says that she and Calculester have built a very close friendship, even if the protagonist wasn't involved. Somewhat subverted in that it's not treated as a Shipping Trope.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial:
- The end of the Cult Ring events has her saying that she'll collect the taxes of the members for the cult leader that is 'definitely not her'.
- At one point, she can ask you out as a replacement for her original date, who was eaten by vultures, which was definitely not her fault.
- She definitely hasn't placed cameras in the men's locker room and she's definitely not selling them to compromisinglockerroomnudes.com as a side business, that's for sure!
- Taken for Granite: As per being a gorgon she can turn people to stone, but more selectively than usual (though accidents do happen) and she explicitly considers it as murder when she asks you for help hiding the 'evidence'.
- Tsundere: If to a lesser extent than Liam. While she's not shy about showing her romantic and sexual interest in the player if they're able to get far with her and even has the occasional sweet and supportive moment with the other friends (particularly Scott and Polly), her way of expressing affection normally consists of things like, say, Damning With Faint Praise or poisoning people so that they need to come to her for the antidote in lieu of asking them to hang out upfront.
- Western Zodiac: A textbook Capricorn.
- When Life Gives You Lemons...: According to her, 'you gotta squirt lemon juice in someone's eye.'
- When She Smiles: Oz most certainly thinks her normal smile is stunning, which is mentioned on the ending Polaroid of a run in which Oz ends up with her.

The Sales Cat

'The profits are going to a good cause! It'll be to buy me a new phone!'
'The profits are going to a good cause! It'll be to buy me a new phone!'
A catgirl that manages the store at school by selling a lot of odd things, some used, some not and some just disturbing, in order to buy herself a new phone.
- Cat Girl: She is an anthropomorphic purple cat person.
- Cat Smile: Predictably so. This is her normal smile.
- Collared by Fashion: She wears a spiked collar, as well as a matching bracelet and a tail ring
- Expy: Of Catty, she's a purple cat that is managing a store in the game.
- Petting Zoo People: A cat's face and tail, but humanoid otherwise.
- Phoneaholic Teenager: She always has her phone in hand, often looking at it rather than at the player. She'll look up from it if she has something to say, but she's also only managing the store to buy a new phone.
- Secret Character: She is a secret romantic option and can be taken to Prom. The player has to have unlocked a certain number of other events first before she becomes available, then visited her store three times without buying anything. Her second route in Second Term is activated by getting the 'A Date With Valerie' item from the Gift Box, though it too needs to be unlocked.
- Skewed Priorities: She is very aware that selling a totem that summons eldritch horrors in school might be dangerous, but she really wants a pair of new boots and is willing to forego time-space safety for it.
- Unlockable Content: As the player keeps on, new items in her store will be added, many of which are paths to secret endings. You can also unlock her as a romantic option, and by extension a viable Prom date. She gets a second, item-related route in Second Term which also needs to be unlocked.
- Western Zodiac: Capricorn. Just like her adoptive sister Vera.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: her hair is a vibrant pink with an undercut.

'We need to defeat this Big Bad!'
Hope voiced by: Christine Marie Cabanos
Faith voiced by: Danielle McRae
'We need to defeat this Big Bad!'
A trio of witches who are despised in the school, but while offscreen, fight big bads (and the sun) and save the world.
- Ambiguously Human: By far the most human characters in the school, though they're never referred to as humans, and aren't treated with the Fantastic Racism others have for humans, with the displeasure people have about them being just generally because they find them annoying and find saving the world to be a pain, hating to be involved in their adventures.
- Anthropomorphic Personification: Hope's secret route gives some exposition that they are intended to be this to their respective namesakes. Hope especially so, as the First Hope's death managed to shatter the universe because of the lack of hope.
- Big Beautiful Woman: Joy is very curvy and quite good looking. This is even lampshaded by the narrator in one event.Narrator: And that girl in the middle — Joy, right? — has some rockin' curves...
- Big, Thin, Short Trio: They are composed of three girls, a tall, slim one, a very short one and a large one.
- Butt-Monkey: Most of the time, they end up being the joke for you and your romantic options.
- Composite Character: Hope. In her route in Second Term, you discover that she is actually the Fourth Hope and that she is made up of elements of the past three.
- Covert Pervert: One event has you breaking into their house and discovering a stash of sex toys, which you immediately swear to forget. On Polly's 'WILKINSON' route, they're the ones who tell you the supplies for the act, on the condition that you never tell anyone. They even give you the marbles!
- Dark Is Not Evil: In fact, they seem to be the least evil members of the school, down to refusing to do drugs, despite being witches clad in black from top to bottom. This seems to be why everyone else thinks they're so annoying: they're actually goal-oriented and constantly trying to save the world while the rest of the students at the school are constantly doing stupid teenage stunts and refusing to take anything seriously.
- Dark-Skinned Blond: Faith has dark brown skin and white hair.
- Dating Catwoman: Joy apparently sleeps with Dmitri here and there, and Liam, who used to be the Big Bad of the Coven's show, is a former flame of hers.
- The Dividual: They aren't even referred to by their respective names most of the time, they are just referred to as a unit and The Coven. With the exception of events relating to a specific member or their appearance in the second Shopkeeper route-specific event, they always appear as a single entity. In a rare case of this trope, there are three of them rather than two. There's even an event where Damian and Polly admit they didn't know the individual girls even have names.
- It could be a ruse on their parts, however, as Second Term reveals that Damian has a crush on Hope and that Polly and Faith regularly engage in casual sex.
- Evil Twin: Polly accuses them of being this to her, Vera and Miranda. For a twist of irony, in the Halloween event, the trio changed into the default costumes of Polly, Vera, and Miranda. And then there's Evil Faith, who turns up in Second Term
- Eyes Always Closed: Faith is with her eyes always closed and using dark glasses.
- Goth: As expected from a modern depiction of witches.
- Hero Antagonist: They seem to have plans to defeat some unseen Big Bad together, but all romanceable options, especially Vera, tend to be quite mean to them and dislike them. Polly thinks they are their Evil Counterpart. They also appear to be quite the moral characters compared to others and refuse to do drugs.
- Hero of Another Story: Apparently, they are living an entirely different story, in another medium even (as in, they are in a TV series, you are in a visual novel). Trying to haunt them with the ghost sheet will cause them to mistake you for the minion of Queen Nehelenia, the Big Bad of their next season.
- The Leader: Although Joy is The Face, and usually behaves as a leader, she isn't considered one, and Hope and Faith actually start fighting her when she calls herself one.
- Meaningful Name: A trio called Hope, Joy, and Faith turns out to be the only moral characters in the game, fittingly.
- Medium Blending: An In-Universe example. It's acknowledged that everything else is happening in a video game, but the three of them are the heroines of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer-style TV show where they're constantly saving the world from demons, and know it.
- The Nth Doctor: There have apparently been three different Hopes in The Coven before the one we're familiar with. They even refer to them as The First Hope, The Second Hope and so on.
- Running Gag: They always have a Big Bad to defeat, it's a different one every time they show up.
- Secret Character: Joy has a secret ending in the base game, with Hope and Faith getting their own secret routes in Second Term.
- Super Gullible: If someone goes along with their Fantasy series setting, they can be easily fooled. One event has the player fabricating an ancient scroll to make them help Damien. They also easily believe whenever someone says they're doing good instead of evil as long as their explanation fits into their narrative.
- Talking to Themself: It's possible to convince Hope to connect with the previous Hopes (Through a WhatsApp group...somehow...) to reconcile her existential crisis in her special route.
- Theme Naming: They're named after virtues; Hope, Joy, and Faith.
- We Used to Be Friends: With Liam. He used to be their Non-Human Sidekick, which they keep saying is something a coven needs, but he eventually got bored and turned his back on them, which the Coven seems still bitter about. Understandable that they would have hard feelings, as Second Term reveals that he didn't just get bored of them after all - rather, he was directly responsible for the death of the Second Hope, the guilt of which lead him to leave (though amicably enough to assist in a season finale).
- Who Wears Short Shorts?: Joy wears rompers, which include shorts, and she compliments it by wearing pantyhose.
- Western Zodiac: Faith is a literal example, having an Evil Twin and being a Gemini.
- Witch Classic: A modern version of this, more related to Wiccans than the old witches, but still there. They are a group of three, seem associated with sisterhood and femininity, and are dressed in all black.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Faith has white hair.
Voiced by: Jesse Cox
The school's werewolf football team.
- The Dividual: Moreso than the Coven, in fact. Whereas most of the student body doesn't know the individual names of the Coven, no-one seems to know the names of any individual members of the Wolfpack. Not even the Wolfpack members themselves. The Wolfpack also don't have any secret routes or events that separate individual members, while the Coven do.
- Dumb Jock: Much like Scott, they aren't very bright and one cafeteria event with them even has them forgetting the inhale part of breathing.
- Evil Counterpart: To the Lovable Jock Scott, being a group of Jerk Jocks that like to play mean pranks, while Scott is generally nice and sweet with the player.
- The Face: While they are technically a group, the only one to interact with others and represent them is the brown haired one that stays in human form, though his name isn't given either.
- Fantastic Racism: Are open about their bigotry against robots in the Classic Game's Calculester route. This leads to a Rousing Speech from the entire cast about bigotry, which...does not change their mind.
- Hidden Depths:
- Even though the Wolfpack are very stereotypical jocks, they do have a love for flower arranging.
- One option in the first Drawing event can have them discuss the history and sociological effects of jazz with Vera and Scott.
- Jerk Jock: They can be very unpleasant and play mean pranks on others.
- No Name Given: None of the members of the pack gets named, not even the one responsible for speaking for them. Different than the Coven, their name isn't given in the credits.
- Parental Abandonment: They live with their grandmother and Scott, due to all the wolves' parents leaving them when they were very young. The leader, at the least, describes them as 'massive fuck-ups', and seems especially bitter about it.
- Raised by Grandparents: Due to Parental Abandonment, they live with their grandmother and Scott.
- Satellite Character: They mostly only appear in events related to Scott, since he is part of their team.
- Took a Level in Kindness: After Zoe tries to explain the reason why she decided to not be Z'Gord anymore, the Wolfpack makes a promise to try and respect her pronouns despite not fully understanding the situation.
- 100% Adoration Rating: Everyone loves him, and it's not hard to see why.
- Actual Pacifist: He never uses violence, and tries to defuse any fighting he comes across.
- Blob Monster: If you couldn't guess by his name.
- The Cutie: A kind guy with arguably the most adorable design in-game.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Appears in several of the photos that appear in the end credits (including the class photo and the orgy endings' polaroid), however, he doesn't make an appearance in-game until you start his route.
- Nice Guy: One of the nicest characters in the game, rivaling Scott.
- Secret Character: One of several secret characters you can take to Prom.
- Token Good Teammate: Could be this for Spooky High as a whole, being the only character who doesn't ever partake in some sort of illegal or immoral action over the course of the game.
Juan the Small Magical Latino Cat
Picture from the sequel's Kickstarter page
A small magical Latino cat whom the player encounters outdoors.- Ascended Extra: In the original game, Juan was never actually seen, and is only talked about if the player spends a turn outdoors. However, Juan is planned to have an expanded role in Monster Prom 2: Holiday Season, including running the bar in Monster Camp mode and being recruitable for the snowball fight in Monster Retreat.
- Everyone Calls Him 'Barkeep': He is always referred to as Juan the Small Magical Latino Cat. Justified, as there are 23 other students named Juan in the school.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Subverted; while he is a small, magical, Latino cat named Juan, he worries that people only think of him as his size, magical abilities, ethnicity, and species. He feels he is more than that.
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: He is a small magical Latino cat.
- One Steve Limit: Averted; there are 23 other students named Juan at school, which is why he goes by 'Juan the Small Magical Latino Cat'.

The coach and PE teacher at Spooky High.- The Atoner: The reason he became a Coach was that he felt ashamed for how his father earned money by selling unhealthy, sugary cereal to kids. It made him dedicate his life to helping young monsters reach their true athletic potential.
- Cat Folk: He's an anthropomorphic tiger.
- Good Is Dumb: He has the students best interests at heart, but he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. In one event it is entirely possible to convince him to let the football team snort cocaine to improve their performance.
- Non-Giving-Up School Guy: Frequently tries his best to make the students reach their true athletic potential by giving them individual workouts. Much to their chagrin.
- Fantastic Racism: Is a proud, card-carrying anti-robot bigot in the Classic Game's Calculester route. Unlike most of the other characters, he never overcomes this.
- He Who Must Not Be Seen: Although he is a prominent character throughout the game and even acts as the narrator for the teaser trailer, he doesn't have a sprite and as such never actually appears on-screen.
- The Voice: Due to not having a sprite, you only ever hear what he's saying (and doing) per the narrator.
- Lawful Good: As expected from a principal.
Other Characters
The Narrator
Click here to see his full body.
The little voice in the player's head that narrates their attempts to woo a date for prom.
- Lemony Narrator: He can be quite snarky at times.
- Ripple Effect-Proof Memory: He's relived the same three/six weeks before Monster Prom thousands of times, and remembers most iterations.
- Secret Character: In Second Term, one route has him wanting to be more involved in the story he's narrating, and it can end with him as the prom date.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Apparently, being the narrator is a valid excuse for wearing nothing but a hat and a speedo. He's also fairly ripped on top of that.

A prince from another dimension that constantly opens up portals to pull your romantic interests to him and tries to start complicated plots.
- Abhorrent Admirer: Becomes this to every character at one point or another.
- Bishōnen: Parodied, he is unfittingly sparkly and charming for the scenario.
- Foe Yay: Invoked, In one event, he is on a Tinder for rivals, in the intention of finding someone with whom he can build a fierce rivalry that will eventually turn in a tense romance.
- Genre Roulette: How his appearances play out. He seems to have come from a different issue and a different way to conquer someone in a different setting every time. Sometimes, he hints at being from a Space Opera, while others, he is in much less danger, one event is specifically him making a The Bachelor-esque game with Liam, Vera, and Polly.
- Green-Skinned Space Babe: 'Interdimensional Babe', rather, but the point still stands, with him being an otherworldly being... who mostly just looks like an attractive human with an unusual skin color.
- Hopeless Suitor: Whether a player passes the stat checks in his events or not, the Prince never manages to actually court anyone.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He has blue hair that goes to just below his shoulders, which matches perfectly with his Bishōnen style.
- No Name Given: He is never given an actual name, and is only referred to by his title of prince.
- Prince Charmless: He keeps hitting on people, whether they want him to or not, and no matter how many times he's turned down. Most of the time, when the Prince shows up, the students have a reaction along the lines of 'not this guy again.'
- Real Men Wear Pink: Always appears using military-like very light pink clothing.
- Reality Ensues: One of the standard endings has the story of his servants deposing him and turning his dimension in a democracy because they could no longer handle the fact that their leader is constantly jumping between dimensions to hit on people.
- The Rival: Regardless of who you are or who you're trying to court for a prom date, the Prince is always threatening to take them away from you somehow.
- Something About a Rose: Carries a rose in his hand at all times. For no apparent reason.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: He opens portals at random in the school, which don't really faze anyone that much. Some got used enough to just react to him with annoyance rather than surprise.
- Western Zodiac: A complete romantic and a Libra.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Literally blue, which matches his skin.

A monster hunter that tries to kill students, but rarely ever taken seriously.
- Ambiguously Human: While she is very human-looking and slays monsters, she has green scleras and a piece of official art of her without a hood shows she has pointy ears, so whether she is or not a mutant, a human or some other thing, it's unclear. During her secret route in Second Term, she mentions that her father was a monster.
- Ambiguous Situation: It isn't clear if she's a student at the school or simply there to slay monsters since she can be seen eating at the cafeteria from time to time.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: It's implied that she has a thing for Damien, Liam, or both, with the two of them being her most frequent targets. And with the DLC installed Zoe could be possibly added into that group, seeing how in one of the events Aaravi herself admits she finds her 'hot', while in another new event, when attacking Zoe, Liam and Damien at the same time, she dismisses Zoe's usual implications of it being sign of love by saying it's not about that even if she 'might have a crush on one, or all of them'.
- Disappeared Dad: During her secret route, she mentions that her father abandoned her family.
- Freudian Excuse: Her father was a monster who abandoned the family, her mother died of either some sort of disease or a broken heart, and her brother Salil disappeared, either having been kidnapped by monsters or left on his own to find their father.
- Half-Human Hybrid: Her dad was a monster, and her mother was (presumably) human.
- Ironic Name: Aaravi is Hindu for 'peace', yet, she is a slayer that appears in an attempt to create chaos by killing students.
- Long-Lost Relative: In the 'Corpse' event and one potential weekend event, she mentions that she had a brother who disappeared somehow.
- Secret Character: She gets a route in Second Term, and as such can be taken to Prom.
- Therapy Is for the Weak: Her route revolves almost entirely around her trying to chase off her fairy therapist. Subverted as in the good ending she does admit that finally being rid of her anger issues and confronting her emotions feels nice.
- Token Human: The only (supposed) human in a cast of mystical beings.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: The Slayer is not taken seriously by any of the students, who consider her more or less of an everyday annoyance.
- Western Zodiac: Libra. Aside from being grudgeful, her personality does not match up well with her sign's.
- When All You Have Is a Hammer...: According to her, the secret to punching someone so good their head will explode is, instead of punching someone really hard, punching really really hard.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: She has light purple hair.
- You Killed My Father: Her Second Term route includes her opening up on the reasons for her hatred and distrust of monsters, stating that a good part of it comes from the fact that she blames monsters for the disappearance of her brother, Salil, assuming that he may have been targeted by them due to both of them coming from a lineage of monster slayers.

Miranda's favorite singing-Serf introduced in The Gift Update.
- Actor Allusion: He seems like a perky, friendly guy, but underneath his cheery demeanor lies a much darker persona who's always speaking in a growl and has an affinity for knives. If you're a fan of his voice actor, you're probably experiencing mild Déjà Vu right now.
- Expy: Given his coloration, he's basically Flounder... but, just as Miranda isn't your typical cute mermaid princess, with a twist.
- Fake Cutie: While Miranda is present, he plays the part of the devoted pet. As soon as she leaves, however...
- Guttural Growler: To maximize the contrast between his act and his true 'grizzled freedom fighter' persona, whenever he's showing the player his true colors, he goes from a high 'cute little animal' voice to this in his voice clips.
- Hero Antagonist: In the eyes of the player he is definitely the villain, but if you think about it: All he's really doing is to disperse of a tyrant who's been enslaving and mistreating him and his people for generations.
- Killer Rabbit: He may look cute and cuddly, but you do not want to get on this fishes' bad side.
- Knife Nut: When switching over to his true persona, he's almost always equipped with a switch-blade.
- Punny Name: Miranda most always refers to him by his full name - 'Mr. Pheel the Eel'. Try saying it out loud.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Whenever he shows his true colors, his eyes go from innocent black doe-eyes to pint-sized red dots.
- Villain Has a Point: Should the player fail at preventing his attempt on Miranda's life, he and the other serfs will successfully assassinate her at her own Christmas party. Although the majority of the population is shocked by this, quite a few are also quick to point out that the Vanderbilt family more or less had it coming, considering their poor treatment of commoners.

'This is totally going in my next fanfic!'
An eldritch horror that lives inside a totem obtainable in the store. After released, it can either cause mayhem, or the player can show it the wonders of high school, making it decide to live as a high school girl named Zoe.'This is totally going in my next fanfic!'
Previously a secret date option, Zoe was added to the main roster of love interests with the Second Term DLC.
- Adorable Abomination: Z'gord can be quite cute with their actions, but Zoe is an outright adorable and Creepy Cute monster girl who looks pretty nice and sweet.
- Adorkable: She's an adorable Eldritch Abomination who will go into Squee! mode whenever she sees something she likes.
- Apocalypse How: Destroys the entire world and all monsterkind in the PRANK MASTERZ ending — except for Polly and Scott.
- Ascended Extra: The Second Term DLC updates her from a secret prom date to a full-on main character, complete with dialogue with other students.
- Ascended Fangirl: In one variant of the credits narration, Jim Davis ends up naming her his successor.
- Cargo Ship: In-universe, she tries to hook Calculester up with a few vending machines. Apparently, the vending machines think they're Better as Friends.
- Crack Pairing: In-Universe; she calls Naruto x Garfield 'the ultimate ship'.
- Cute Monster Girl: As Zoe, who is a creepy, but cute-looking, girl with tentacle hair and eyes spread through her body.
- Did You Just Romance Cthulhu?: In the base game, she is a secret romantic option and can be taken to Prom as Z'Gord.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Zoe's attempt to live life as a high-school girl is framed as an allegory for a transgender person undergoing transition. She is sometimes identified as Z'Gord by the cultists and other members of the student body; whenever Zoe is referred to by that name, she says that she doesn't want to be known as Z'Gord anymore, and just wants to live a normal life. Add on top of that the fact that Zoe is played by a transgender voice actor, the parallels are obviously intentional.
- Eldritch Abomination: As Z'gord, she is a mess of limbs, bones, and flesh that fluctuates in size from being shorter than the player to being big enough to consume the entire world in the 'PRANK MASTERZ' secret ending.
- Eyes Do Not Belong There: While it isn't immediately obvious, the 'eyes' on Zoe's face are just to look more humanoid; she actually sees through the green, glowing eyes in her 'hair,' her chest, and on her left leg.
- Fangirl: Of so many things, but, most notably, of life at Spooky High.
- Foil: To Leonard. Zoe represents all the positive parts of a fandom (there to have fun, open to new things, creative) as opposed to him representing the negative parts (critical, cynical, constantly complaining about not being catered to).
- Goldfish Poop Gang: How she sees her cult, now that she wants to move on from being just an Eldritch Abomination, and they're not sure what to do with themselves now that she's more interested in creating the perfect Crack Ship than blanketing the Earth in eternal darkness.
- Heel–Face Turn: The player can show it the wonders of high school, making it realize being a dark deity isn't her true nature and deciding to live as a high school girl named Zoe.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: She tends to get irritated when her new high school routine is broken up by more than passing reminders of her origin as an elder god, and embarrassed with herself at moments when she lapses back into old habits in behavior (e.x., when she's particularly cross with someone).
- Lovable Sex Maniac: True to form as an Affectionate Parody of Fanservice-loving fandom and fanwork culture, she's got a pretty strong interest in sex and shipping. She has a propensity to work herself into a lather of excited delight when she comes across unconventional sexual scenarios, and spends quite a bit of time speculating or asking for the dirt on the sex lives and sexual desires of her classmates.
- Lovecraft Lite: Most of the time. While she's still an Eldritch Abomination, she's focusing more on being an Adorable Abomination instead. The few times her old eldritch side shows itself are made all the more jarring for it.
- Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: She absolutely loves writing fanfic. She has several AUs she writes about her fellow students, ships people she knows nothing about, and is constantly trying to improve her fanfic writing.
- Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: Even by the standards of a cast full of monsters! She's a perky, upbeat, Adorkable girl who, due to her existence as an Eldritch Abomination for whom up until recently just counted scenarios horrifying to other creatures as just how she 'rolls', views such practices as getting back at a jerk with an eternity-of-nightmares-inducing Mind Screw or eating lunch by strapping a screaming human to a table and tortuously extracting his sanity as just part of a normal day, with none of the sadism of Damien or Vera or the innocence of Scott or Miranda.
- No Sense of Personal Space: She tends to be quite nosy, especially with regards to personal details on her friends and schoolmates that she thinks could 'spice up' her art and fanfic, and tends to gleefully act on curiosity when a question or 'what if' pops into her brain. When Joy rhetorically asks her if she has any sense of personal boundaries out of exasperation in one lunchtime event, she somewhat-abashedly but sincerely answers that, no, she doesn't.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Creativity and Charm.
- Pet the Dog: She's one of the only students at the school who doesn't treat the Coven badly; in fact, she's a huge fan.
- Really 700 Years Old: Has been alive for many millennia.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: When she gets mad, a huge monstrous red eye pops out of her face, and her Eldritch Abomination side starts taking over.
- Red Right Hand: Her right arm is an octopus-like tentacle, which she's usually seen holding up with her left hand.
- Shipper on Deck: In true romantic-fanfic-enthusiast fashion, she loves speculating on ships between her schoolmates and will be thrilled to drill into it if she thinks she spots sexual tension between any two of them - Liam and Joy, Dmitri and Joy, Dmitri and Hope, Damien and Hope, Damien and Liam, Damien and Dahlia... her list of ships and prospective ships is pretty much endless.
- Squee!: A few times. When sufficiently excited, she might let out a long 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!' with her large eye springing out.
Click here to see his Second Term appearance.
A sentient computer virus trapped in an arcane floppy disc obtainable in the store, which can be uploaded to a computer in the school library.Previously a secret date option, Calculester was added to the main roster of love interests with the Second Term DLC.
- Adorkable: He is overly formal and a bit awkward at times, but his niceness more than makes up for it.
- Artificial Intelligence: Behaves more like a person than like an infection.
- Ascended Extra: Like Zoe, Second Term upgrades him from a secret character to a major love interest.
- Comically Missing the Point: As to be expected from a newly-sentient Literal-Minded robot, he tends to miss or misinterpret slang and jokes, and not understand the logic (or lack thereof) behind his friends' wacky schemes.Damien: Stop being so PC.
Calculester: That is me! I am a PC! :D - Cool Hat: When initially introduced, he was always described as 'wearing a cool hat'.
- Covert Pervert: He's got the most formal and traditionally 'goody-goody' personality of anyone in the cast - but despite that and his status as a machine, he's as interested in sex as the rest of his friends, and while he's as matter-of-fact and mostly-formally-spoken about it as he is about nearly everything else, he's not shy about outright saying it when it's on his mind. One of his facial expressions is a penis emoji.
- Cute Machines: An Adorkable, sweet guy that you can date and take to the prom... who just so happens to be a robot.
- Emoticon: As his face is a computer monitor, he uses these in lieu of expressions - everything from simple ':)' and ':(' faces to '8D'.
- Friend to All Living Things: Calculester's always willing to make a new pal, be they animate, machine, or other - he's especially attached to the many plants he takes care of.
- Innocently Insensitive: When a vending machine fails to dispense Damien's candy bar...Damien: Calculester, your stupid friend stole my candy bar!
Calculester: [Concerned.] Scott stole your candy bar? - Leaning on the Fourth Wall: One of Calculester's new scenes has him trying to deduce the meaning of life. He points out how he can't ask the player, though, since he's noticed they're such a total Lovable Sex Maniac they can't be trusted to give a thoughtful answer and will just say whatever has the best chance of letting them score with whoever they're talking to.
- Meta Guy: Literally having a computer brain allows him to understand/interpret his life in terms of a video game - he understands and occasionally brings up such things as trait stats and heart points.
- Nice Guy: Like Scott, Cal is sweet and open-hearted, and refers to all other monsters (yes, even Leonard) as his friends.
- One Stat to Rule Them All: Smarts and Fun.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: When he initially gained sentience, he walked around in a trenchcoat and 'cool hat', and reminded everyone that he talked to that he was an organic being.
- Western Zodiac: Aquarius. A textbook example due to how intellectual and kindhearted he is.

'Sup, cucks?'
A kappa with the personality of a nerdy asshole.'Sup, cucks?'
- Asshole Victim: In one event, Vera stabs him with a knife; in another, Damien lights him on fire. Both times, they're entirely justified in doing so.
- Berserk Button: Remakes of shows he likes.
- Fan Dumb: In-Universe, his character revolves around representing the worst parts of a fandom.
- Foil: To Zoe; he represents all the negative parts of a fandom (acts entitled, nitpicks about every little thing, complains about Political Correctness Gone Mad) as opposed to her representing all the positive parts.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: He's a classmate that the cast can't really get rid of, but that doesn't mean they have to tolerate him when he pops up.
- Hate Sink: Has no likable traits, and seemingly only exists to be a jackass.
- Jerkass: One of his likes is 'being a douchebag'.
- Kappa: His species. In a bit of Shown Their Work, one event has him interested in the player's shirikodama (a ball located in a person's anus that contains said person's soul, which kappa eat to gain more power).
- Otaku: He's an anime fan.
- Politically Incorrect Villain: Besides his complaints about 'SJWs' and Political Correctness Gone Mad ruining his favorite shows, he's also sexist (claiming that Zoe is a good artist 'for a girl') and the closest thing to a transphobe the game has (refusing to call Zoe 'Zoe' more than once, claiming he has a right to call her 'Z'Gord' or whatever he wants to call her).
- Racist Grandpa: In a sense; he's Really 700 Years Old and definitely not concerned with being politically correct.
- Really 700 Years Old: In one event, he reveals that he's several centuries old.
- Weaksauce Weakness: In one cafeteria event, the player tricks him into bowing, which causes the water in his head to spill out. This renders him completely immobile until someone refills his head with water from the stream he lives in. But apparently, toilet water works just fine.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Dark green hair, to be exact.
Voiced by: Anna Brisbin
A blue-skinned demon girl who has a rivalry with the LaVey family.- Amazing Technicolor Population: She has blue skin.
- Amazonian Beauty: Muscular and as much of a beauty as the other girls.
- Bare Your Midriff: Her outfit exposes her midriff.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: Zoe suggests she has this with Damien in several events. She of course vehemently denies it, though some of her dialogue suggests she isn't completely against the idea.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Before her official debut, she made appearances in the PRANK MASTERZ ending (as one of the many characters battling Z'Gord) and the bad ending for Miranda's Christmas update route (attending Miranda's funeral).
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: She has scars all over her body.
- Horned Humanoid: She has horns, just like Damien's.
- Ms. Fanservice: A buff demon girl who regularly goes around in exercise gear that consists of a sports bra and tight-fitting pants? Hell yes.
- Secret Character: She's a secret romance option, and can be taken to Prom.
- Ship Tease: She seems to be sexually interested in Liam of all people. In several events featuring the two of them together she makes flirty remarks towards him.
- Tomboyish Ponytail: Wears her hair in a ponytail, and is the biggest tomboy in the cast.
- The Rival: To the LaVey family due to Damien's parents beating her's in the battle for the Eighth Circle of Hell.
- Western Zodiac: Virgo. Dahlia herself does not come off as one until the commitment and perfectionism she displays, especially where defeating the LaVey family is concerned, is taken into account.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: She has pale sky blue (possibly white) hair.
Violet voiced by:Felicia Day
Tate voiced by: Ross O'Donovan
Violet is a female parasitic mushroom creature who seems to enjoy love; Tate is her 'boyfriend'/host.Tate voiced by: Ross O'Donovan
- Bigfoot, Sasquatch and Yeti: What Tate appears to be.
- Black Bead Eyes: Tate has these behind his sunglasses.
- 'Blackmail' Is Such an Ugly Word: Violet prefers to refer to her host as her boyfriend.
- In Love with Love: Violet loves the concept of love about as much as she loves her boyfriend (read: a lot). She also has a tendency to mock single people.
- Monochromatic Eyes: Tate's eyes, which makes him stand out from the rest of the cast and might be another sign of what Violet is doing to him.
- Mushroom Man: Violet vaguely resembles a mushroom.
- Official Couple: Surprisingly for a dating game, though it may just be Violet covering up what she's doing to Tate.
- Puppeteer Parasite: All but stated to be the case with the two of them, as Tate seems to have no free will of his own.
- Sickeningly Sweethearts: Oh lord, yes.
- The Symbiote: Violet seems to be the parasitic type.
- Theme Naming: The two share their names with another canonically unhealthy couple in fiction: Violet Harmon and Tate Langdon from American Horror Story.
- Tennis: Tate carries a tennis racket with him.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: Likes this kind of relationship, and is implied to be in one (or at least engage in hate sex) with Joy.
- Early-Bird Cameo: He makes a narration-only appearance in the second event of the ANGELBLOOD route, and (depending on what you do) he'll say that he'll come back as a potential love interest. Liam also wears his default outfit during the Halloween event.
- Emo Teen: Proudly proclaims that he cares about nothing and is a self-proclaimed member of 'the dark side'.
- Evil Laugh: Prone to cracking his stoic face for these after boasts about the supposed terrors of The Dark Side.
- I Banged Your Mom: Apparently, Damien's grandmother is among the people he's sleeping with. When Damien expresses his displeasure over this, Dmitri can't help but dryly sass him over it.
- Mr. Fanservice: While nearly all the boys in the game are this to some extent, it's overtly played up for laughs in his case - all his scenes contain mentions of his perpetual shirtlessness, and a lot of his dialogue and voice clips are highly suggestive.
- Noodle Incident: Has some sort of history with the Coven.
- The Rival: Is this to the Coven.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: His default outfit comes without a shirt, and one of his dislikes is wearing t-shirts.
- White Hair, Black Heart: Proudly a member of the dark side and has white hair.
Fellow Student
Voiced by: Dan Avidan
An undercover cop sent into the school in order to get evidence against Vera. He tries a little too hard to blend in with the student body.- Adults Dressed as Children: A 40-something man dressed as a Totally Radical teenager.
- Becoming the Mask: Completing his secret route will cause him to fully embrace his teenage persona.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Downplayed. He's present in the end-of-game class photo for Second Term, but he won't actually appear in the game until you start the route that involves him.
- Expressive Mask: Subverted. His helmet never changes, so to 'help' him express himself, other students will add expressive features to it.
- Hero Antagonist: He's an undercover cop sent to arrest Vera for her many, many crimes, but since Vera's a friend of the player character, this makes him the villain of his route.
- Overly Stereotypical Disguise: His idea of blending into a high school seems to have come from '80s films and/or sitcoms.
- Totally Radical: Invoked to hell and back. 'Eat my pants!'
- The Cutie: Even though her methods of doing so are...unusual, she genuinely wishes to help the Slayer get over her anger issues and is even willing to sacrifice herself to revive her, should the Player fail in the last stat check.
- Expy: Of Navi. She even quotes Navi's Catchphrase in her dialogue.
- Unwanted Assistance: Her therapy seems to entirely consist of siccing violent beasts on her patients. It's a good thing her patient in the game is the Slayer, with the player providing support.
The Cult of Z'Gord
Voiced by: Jon Bailey
Introduced in the Second Term DLC, they're a group of cultists who worship Z'Gord and have not adapted to the fact that she is now a fanfic-loving teenager named Zoe.
- Bumbling Dad: After the player sets them on the road toward coming to terms with their god's new identity as a mostly-normal schoolkid, their collective attitude toward Zoe starts to take on an air reminiscent of doting parents trying to reconnect with their estranged teenage daughter.
- Cool Mask: They all wear white masks bearing Zoe's green third eye.
- Cult: One that worships Z'Gord/Zoe.
- Hypocritical Humor: In one event, when they try to come up with a theme song for Zoe, one idea is rejected because it blatantly rips off the Animaniacs theme. They then proceed to give you the song they settled on...which is a blatant rip-off of the Steven Universe theme.
- Blood Knight: Leads her kingdom's army and carries a giant meat cleaver with her at all times.
- Cool Big Sis: Though she can act like a Big Sister Bully at times, she does try to help Miranda find a purpose in life.
- Early-Bird Cameo: First made an (unnamed) appearance in one of the secret routes, in that she is one of the three merpeople (all of whom are Mirandas' sisters) attending Mirandas' funeral during the failed Assassination route ending.
- Eyepatch of Power: Wears an eyepatch, with highlights her badassery.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: She's a princess who leads her kingdom's army. This is actually the drive of the route she appears in; all of Miranda's sisters fall into this category, and she's trying to get Miranda to become one as well.
- Scary Teeth: Some of her models show her with pointy shark teeth.
- Secret Character: The 1 Year Anniversary update added a hidden romance route for her.
- Warrior Prince: Warrior princess in this case, but she's the commander of the Merkingdom army as well as a member of their ruling family.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: And blue scales.

- Dummied Out: He was originally supposed to have a role in the main game, but in the end, only made an appearance in the Second Term's class group photo.
- Plant Person: His hair is made of leaves.
Characters from Official Mods

Monster Camp Demo Characters
Billy the Backer
A potential Kickstarter backer from the Monster Camp demo.
- Audience Surrogate: He's there for the Narrator to play off of and introduce tier rewards for backing the Monster Prom sequel.
- Book Dumb: Not only is he not very smart, he rarely listens to the Narrator's advice.
- Fan Boy: Of Damien. One of his opening lines is 'I love Damien!' And when Billy asks for more Damien, he receives a hideous amalgamation of Damien bodies melded together.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: Being a representation of the game's fanbase, he is very thirsty for certain characters. His first line is him asking the Narrator to step on him.
Moss Mann
A Mothman...er, Moth-Person.- Punny Name: Which he makes note of when introduced in the Demo.
Momo
An example of a 'modern' monster that could be added to the game, based on the Momo meme.- Bird People: She has talons instead of hands.
- Not Helping Your Case: In the Demo, Billy can attempt to justify her inclusion despite her reputation by saying it could be the work of in-setting trolls besmirching her good name...before she appears and says that burning down your house would be cool.
Samuel Charles Peterson the 173rd
Another example of a 'modern' monster, this one based on SCP-173 (The Sculpture) from the SCP Foundation.- Mooning: Wears an orange prison jumpsuit with an undone butt flap.
- Overly Long Name: And there's at least 172 other Petersons that share it.
- Punny Name: 'Samuel Charles Peterson' can be abbreviated to 'SCP', as in the Foundation its story originates from.
Billy's Orc OC

Billy's idea of a cool character after learning that the creation of an NPC is a possible Kickstarter backer reward.
- Chainsaw Good: Both of her hands are replaced with chainsaws.
- Goofy Print Underwear: Clearly shows off Heart Boxers when showing off her abilities to step on others.
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Billy transforms her from a small orc into a buff tattooed rainbow-haired dark magical girl orc with chainsaw hands that has a doctorate in stepping on people.
- Parody Sue: What Billy eventually turns her into, in terms of both appearance and personality.

Monster Prom is a dating sim by BeautifulGlitch (Julián Quijano), with art by Arthur Tien.
The game provides a new spin on dating sims, making it a competitive game in which up to 4 players can choose a protagonist and can either compete in order to see who gets their date to the prom or work together so both can get their desired date. The game takes place in a monster's school, 3 weeks prior to the prom, and the players try desperately to seduce one of six other students in order to go to the prom with them.
The game had a successful Kickstarter campaign, garnering over 30 thousand euros and unlocking extra features including new downloadable characters. The game has its own website and has a twitter account. It was officially launched on Steam on April 27th, 2018.
In May 2019, a new Kickstarter campaign was launched for a sequel: Monster Prom 2: Holiday Season, which contains 3 different game modes and features both new and returning characters. It quickly surpassed the funding of the original game, and by the time the campaign finished, passed enough stretch goals to make its Monster Camp mode a standalone project and combine the other 2 modes (Retreat and Road Trip) with a new one.

NOT to be confused with Monster High, which is very different.
Tropes
- 100% Completion: The game keeps track of the total amount of secret endings, events and outcomes The Player has seen. A screen at the end of each run shows The Player's progress. There is an achievement for getting 100% in each of those categories, and 50% in the first two.
- Accidental Truth: In a lunchroom event between Miranda and Vera, you can choose to take a sip of Vera's scotch, then act as if it was poisoned in order to scare Miranda. After Miranda faints, Vera compliments you on your performance, saying that she should add poison to her scotch more often. Only then does she realize you're probably not faking the symptoms, and that you could probably use the antidote.
- All-Ghouls School: A rather humorous and modern take on this. Everyone in the school is some sort of monster, but it's a setting that also includes smartphones, social media, and a generous helping of sex jokes.
- All Hallows' Eve: Lampooned in the 'That October Holiday' event. Everyone's already a monster at this school, so all the monsters just dress up in each other's regular outfits.
- Anti-Frustration Features: Players can't access the shop or buy items from Valerie on the last turn since there would be no point to buying items that set off event flags, and the shop appearing could potentially lock a player out of a prom date if they want to raise a specific stat.
- Black Comedy: A truckload of it. Events frequently involve violence, death, destruction, and any number of dark rituals and soul-selling. All of it is played for comedy.
- Bland-Name Product: There are many peppered throughout the game.
- The name of the site you can run scams on in the library is StartKicker.
- You can say there's a brand of Lingerie called Victoria's Seance.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall:
- When Liam asks The Player if they've ever heard of 'StartKicker', a crowdfunding site, the narrator asks if Liam knows why he exists since Monster Prom was a crowdfunded project on Kickstarter.
- A classroom event in Second Term involves Miranda and Vera trying to upgrade Calculester, with one of the options specifically referring to the in-game stat system. Succeeding with that option even states that you boost Calculester's stats by going to the same places the player would go to boost theirsSpecifically... .
- Two of the new secret endings in Second Term are fueled by this. In the first one, Liam, Polly, and Scott all realize they're in a video game and try to escape it. In the second, you take the Narrator to the prom.
- College Is 'High School, Part 2': Implied. The setting is referred to as a high school, yet only one of the dateable characters is a teenager. The rest are in their 20s (or in Liam's case, 400s). There are also no mentions of characters living with their parents and students, are allowed to drink alcohol in the cafeteria, even if they're under the legal drinking age.
- Cute Monster Characters: The Player characters and main love interests play this straight. Subverted in the case of some of the other students, including the Eldritch Abomination you can possibly take to prom.
- Darker and Edgier:
- The Bad Ending for Miranda's Christmas update route. Pheel the Eel succeeds in killing her, and the credits polaroids consist of people mourning her at her funeral, with no music playing.
- The Second Term update has Hope's Lore Coupon path, especially the second part. We learn that the Hope we know and love is actually the fourth in a line of dead Hopes, that she occasionally receives memories from these past lives, and that Liam's rift with the Coven runs a lot deeper than 'eventually got bored with them.' None of it is Played for Laughs.
- Deadly Prank: While most of the Prank Masterz' (with a Z!) usual pranks are pretty harmless and even laughable (mainly if you side with Scott over Polly in terms of pranks), it's heavily implied they did once accidentally cause someone's death in a prank during the Greeting Card ending (they're even holding the body in a potato sack). And in the Arcane Book ending, it's played painfully straight in that everyone, including the player, is dead at the tentacles of Z'Gord, except for Scott and Polly.
- Downer Ending:
- The Halloween event added one. By purchasing the book of spells in the shop and successfully completing all of its 'pranks', you, Polly, and Scott ultimately manage to summon the Eldritch Abomination Z'Gord. It goes about as well as you'd expect: Z'Gord takes over the world, establishing a reign of fear and death, murders almost all of the characters (including you), and there's a series of polaroids showing them futilely trying to escape or fight back. One of the ending polaroids has Liam literally spell out the sentence 'This is the worst possible timeline' with his dying breath. The only ones coming out of this unscathed are, of course, Scott and Polly, whom the 'Thank You for playing!' shot shows alive and well, celebrating yet another successful scheme by the Prank Masterz (with a Z).
- In the Christmas update, the plot by Miranda's subjects to assassinate her for years of abuse and mistreatment is entirely Played for Laughs... unless you completely screw up the Christmas party, in which case the assassination goes off without a hitch.* Unlike the Black Comedy of the Halloween ending, the resulting ending, Miranda's murder, and everyone's reaction to it are all played dead seriously.
- Early-Bird Cameo:
- Dahlia, a new character introduced in the Valentine's Day 2019 DLC, makes a brief appearance in secret endings added for the Halloween 2018 update and the Christmas 2018 update.
- Dmitri, another new character in the Second Term, is foreshadowed by both Liam's Halloween costume (he's wearing Dmitri's regular outfit) and the ANGELBLOOD route (where he makes a narration-only appearance in the second event and (depending on what you do) say that he'll be a love interest in the future).
- The class photo that appears at the end of the game depicts several characters that don't make appearances unless you take specific routes that may or may not need to be unlocked first.
- Eating the Eye Candy: In a certain event, Scott will rub sauce over his bare chest, and The Player will be into it.
- Enfante Terrible: There's an eight-year-old Kraken that Miranda and you can let loose on school. The kid goes on to wreak havoc.
- Everyone Is Bi: Independent of gender, all romantic options can be romanced by all playable characters. This also extends to pretty much everyone in the school.
- Evolving Credits: The end credits may change depending on which character was asked to Prom and whether or not they agreed to be your date. The picture at the side of the 'Thank You for Playing' message will be a changed version of one of the pictures on the credit (or even a different one altogether) with some cute scribbles on it.
- Fanservice:
- Each Love Interest has two secret endings, one of those two always has a fanservicey CG of the character wearing little clothes and implications about a new interest in The Player.
- Furthermore, THE SUPER SECRET ONE ending is an orgy organized by Polly for you and all of your classmates, the CG is of all six Love Interests plus Blobert waiting for you to join them in a hot tub.
- Foreshadowing:
- In an event, Vera will mention that Damien has oddly well-manicured fingers for a man. This turns out to hint at his interest in the beauty industry, which is one of their endings.
- By going successfully alone to prom once, the narration will mention that you feel ready and confident to go after one — or more — of your classmates. This foreshadows the existence of an orgy ending.
- During the end credits, the shopkeeper shows up in one of the polaroids hanging out with Vera. It seems a bit random, given that everyone else in the photos plays a major role. Vera is also one of the harder characters to get close to. This is foreshadowing the fact that Valerie, the shopkeeper, is both a romance option and Vera's adoptive sister.
- Further reinforced in two of the polaroids added in the Halloween and Christmas updates, where they depict Vera carrying Valerie to the Oberlin bunker after Z'gord takes over and Vera consoling Valerie at Miranda's funeral, respectively.
- Gender-Equal Ensemble: There are two male and two female playable characters for the six datable characters (three female and three male). The extra content in the Kickstarter includes one more male, one more female and one... way harder to identify.
- Giant Spider: The principal is apparently one. That's even his name: Principal Giant Spider.
- Golden Ending: THE SUPER SECRET ONE ending, in which your Lovable Sex Maniac character gets to have an orgy with all your friends, which has been implied to be their main goal in several moments.
- Hand Wave: Played for laughs; almost everything that seems to be impossible happens with the bare minimum of explanation besides 'it happens' and 'works in mysterious ways'.
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: When selecting playable characters, the players can choose from a character's given name (e.g. Amira), the color of their avatar (e.g. Red), or give the character a unique inserted name. Each player also chooses whether their character is referred to with male, female, or gender-neutral pronouns.
- It's a Wonderful Failure: Downplayed, but by not inviting anyone to prom and not having sufficient stats, as well as failing to get any of the secret endings, the game gives you a 'The Reason You Suck' Speech, lets you know it thinks you are an idiot and a coward, gives you the rejection screen anyway, and you also get the achievement for failing at playing dating sims.
- It's Not Porn, It's Art: When Damien and Liam find The Player making erotic fanart of them together, The Player passes it off as art, which Liam ends up agreeing to, much to Damien's dismay.
- Kafka Comedy: While it's hard to say your character is well-meaning, they also don't mean any harm, and making the wrong choices ends up with the game being a darkly hilarious series of misfortunes for The Player as they fail to get a date.
- Karma Houdini: Played for laughs. More often than not, none of the characters suffer any major consequences for their horrible and sometimes illegal actions (up to and including murder).
- Lemony Narrator: The narrator talks in second-person, though he voices The Player character's actions and lines. He also is quite snarky, stops to comment as if he is the player character, and so on.
- Lemon Stu: In-universe, basically all male characters of the spicy fanfic 'Dragon Heat', but especially the protagonist, Smitty.
- Limited Wardrobe: Subverted. The dateable characters each have two casual outfits, a sports outfit, a prom outfit, and a school play costume. The Player characters have almost the same number of outfits, having only one casual outfit instead of two.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: Pretty much everyone welcomes having sex at any given time, though Polly and The Player are the most notable ones, with her being a hedonistic ghost and The Player always being mentioned by The Narrator to desperately want to have sex and is attracted to pretty much everyone in the school
- Lust Object: Pretty much every character to The Player, who is attracted to pretty much everybody in school, and is very clearly intended on having sex with any of the six main love interests.
- Mood Whiplash: In a game where even the bad endings are hilarious, the Arcane Book and Assassination endings really stand out for how dark and serious they are. The Arcane Book ending at least has some Black Comedy sprinkled in. The Assassination ending is played dead seriously.
- Appearances of the Coven tend to play up their Buffy/Charmed-inspired meta-shenanigans. Then comes Hope's route, which flips between the games usual absurdist humor and Black Comedy with moments of more serious Buffyesque moments.
- Multiple Endings: The ending of the game will heavily depend on whether or not The Player was able to get a date to Prom, and even then, the final scenario CG will depend on who you played and who you romanced.
- There are 22 secret endings unlockable through items bought in the shop or a string of events that can happen at any given time, sometimes at any route.
- My Friends... and Zoidberg: In one event, when The Player encounters Vera, Liam, Damien, and Polly, the narrative refers to them as 'the four most hateful people in school'. Vera, Liam, and Damien make snide remarks, followed by Polly being her usual energetic self and proclaiming herself to be 'super drunk'. The narrative quickly corrects itself to 'the three most hateful people in school, and Polly'.
- Non-Standard Game Over: If in a multiplayer game, one of The Players achieves THE SUPER SECRET ONE ending, this locks all other players out from their own endings, be they just a date or be they secret endings, unless the ending involves not picking one of the main love interests. The other players simply get a warning stating that they missed out on the orgy.Narrator: Prom Night arrives, and you failed at getting a date because half the class is attending that orgy you're totally missing out.
- No Stat Atrophy: Averted. Stats don't go down on their own, but if a player fails a stat check, several of their stats go down.
- Omega Ending: Downplayed; while it's not required to get all other endings, THE SUPER SECRET ONE ending has quite a few requirements to allow The Player to even have a chance at participating in it. The Player must have taken all six main Love Interests to prom, gotten at least one of each of the six's secret endings, and have a certain amount of completed events. These will trigger a notification stating that The Player can now manage an orgy.
- Redundant Parody: Every once in a while, in a game with so many references (see below). For instance one of the character creation questions in Second Term talks about getting out of being arrested by beating the officer at Yu-Gi-Oh. That exact thing happened in the very first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
- Reference Overdosed: This is a game that collects Shout Outs by the bucket, enough to warrant its own page, and some are even fairly specific, including mentioning by name ship names of Star vs. the Forces of Evil and the ship wars and arguments that happen there every now and then in that fandom.
- Rousing Speech: One of the gym events includes you managing to take your team to victory by making one. Played for Laughs, obviously.
- Running Gag:
- 'That's, like, third base for [Love Interest]!' in response to a love interest stepping out of line with a usual selfish behavior to show the player they're warming up to them, e.x. Vera sharing, Liam openly tolerating them.
- Polly will frequently comment 'that's how I died!' when something dangerous comes up. These are always contradicting, and couldn't have all taken place at the same time, making her an Unreliable Narrator.
- Damien setting things on fire for the sake of setting them on fire.
- Liam ranking things he doesn't like in various categories, and where he ranks them in relation to other things. This winds up subverted for a Wham Line in Hope's route in Second Term, in which point he ranks his two biggest regrets.
- Second-Person Narration: The Lemony Narrator refers to The Player as 'you' during the whole game. Subverted in Second Term, where The Narrator turns out to be a student providing narration for everyone at school.
- Sex Comedy: The game is choke-full of innuendos and blatant references to both sex, as well as how constantly horny and somewhat desperate is The Player, being that the end goal is to take someone on a date and several secret endings end with The Player having sex with someone.
- School of No Studying: Lampshaded and parodied, should the player choose to go to Class.'Sometimes, after all the monster nonsense and the dating gimmicks, you forget that attending class is supposed to be the primary activity at this high school.'
- Shout-Out: Here.
- The Six Stats: Boldness, Fun, Smarts, Charm, Creativity, and Money.
- Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped: In-universe. During the 'Dragon Heat' events, Vera can chastise you for your choice of a favorite arc, since it was about the king lying to everyone to try to make an orgy, which leads to a long, but necessary talk about consent.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: So what song plays over the credits of the Halloween update ending where you help Scott and Polly inadvertently end the world? An upbeat rap number sung by Scott and Polly.
- String Theory: The final event of the Shitter event chain has Damien, obsessed with finding out the origin for the eponymous statuette, cover his wall with pictures and newspaper articles connected this way. As Liam notes, that's how you know your obsession is becoming unhealthy.
- Take That!: Various ones to people who use Kickstarter, with the characters occasionally proclaiming how they're ripping people off using a Bland-Name Product version of it. Of course, given that without Kickstarter, the game wouldn't exist, there might be some Self-Deprecation in there as well.
- Threesome Subtext: During the Dragon Heat Events, you can take both Miranda and Damien on a date, if you have enough CHARM. In fact, it's very clear The Player character is interested in pretty much everyone in the school and would not turn down if more than one of their classmates is interested in them.
- Tome of Eldritch Lore: The Arcane Book. Polly and Scott use it to play pranks on their fellow students, but somehow don't notice the creepy whispering and eerie side-effects from using the book...
- Training Montage:
- Parodied. One event includes The Player, Damien, and Scott training a wild beast to participate on a TV show over a training montage. When Scott wonders how they could do all of this and it could still be lunchtime, Damien just says that these montages work in strange ways.
- Parodied again when the coach asks two other students to train with you. The narration will say that although 30 seconds passed, inspirational music was blasting out of nowhere, day turned into night and all of you are sweaty and tired.
- Trade Snark: Right at the beginning, with Monster Prom's Stupidest Pop Quiz Ever™.
- Unfortunate Implications: Discussed in-universe. Liam will point that in the fandom of Star vs. the Forces of Evil, it'd be weird to ship Starco due to Marco being technically in his thirties. He also expands that there's no such issue among them, since everybody is of age (Miranda is the youngest character and is 19).
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Most characters react to the monster slayer like it's anything they've seen normally. The same is applied to the Interdimensional Prince opening portals. Although they seem to react with surprise and glee when The Player shows up pretending to be a ghost, thinking they are an exchange student.
- Wham Line: During Hope's route in Second Term, Joy talks about a former Big Bad named Angelus who made a Heel–Face Turn later on. As it turned out, however, he hired an assassin to kill Faith before his turn, and it ended up taking the life of the second Hope instead. Then Liam (who's been mostly silent during the story) says this...I'll never be sorry enough, Hope. Hiring the Unfaithful is the thing I regret the most, closely followed by choosing Angelus as my evil name.
- Who's on First?: One event has Vera drinking scotch for lunch, much to the confusion of Scott, who mishears it as 'Scott's'. It doesn't help when she describes it as 'an energy drink for Scottish people'.
- World of Badass: It's a high school that features constant death, destruction, dark magic, and Black Comedy. However, it's all played for laughs.
- Year X: As seen in one of the photos at the end of the game, it takes place in 20X0.
- Yaoi: Deliberately invoked by Liam, who sees the genre as a form of art. He becomes obsessed with it soon after and The Player keeps pretending to be a master, which will lead them to the YAOI ending.Liam: I have heard about this... Yaoi. It's a millenary form of art from the East. A delightful celebration of love and desire.
